Picnic

A picnic deserves better than a packet sandwich. Smoked salmon was practically invented for it: holds well at picnic temperature, slices cleanly out of the fridge, doesn’t go funny in a Tupperware. Our picnic recipes range from a full grazing board built around a generous side of salmon, through to wraps and tartines you can roll and pack in five minutes. Make the food the night before, keep dressings on the side, pack a cool box, and you’ve got the kind of picnic that justifies the drive.
