Dispatch days
We dispatch orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, excluding Irish bank holidays. Couriers do not operate at weekends or on public holidays. We are not able to deliver on Mondays, as smoked salmon is not shipped over the weekend.
Delivery dates
We aim to meet your requested delivery date, but we cannot guarantee delivery on an exact date, as some things are outside our control. Please also bear in mind that public holidays in the destination country can affect delivery times. It is your responsibility to check that your requested delivery date does not fall on a local public holiday or during a holiday-related transit delay.
Correct delivery details
Please make sure your delivery address and phone number are correct and complete. We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
Delays in transit
Once an order has been dispatched correctly, any delay in transit is in the hands of the courier. In those cases Wrights of Howth cannot be held liable and is not able to offer a refund or a replacement order.
Customs and import charges
International orders may be subject to customs inspection, which can cause delays and additional charges. Any import duties, taxes and customs clearance fees are the responsibility of the recipient. Customs rules vary by country, and we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs procedures or for the collection of duties and taxes.
Where we deliver
We deliver throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. Because of import restrictions and customs procedures, some destinations are limited:
- We are currently unable to deliver to Australia, New Zealand or Asia.
- We can deliver to the United States, but we cannot ship perishable food there, including oak-smoked salmon and other chilled or fresh food, or alcohol. Non-perishable gifts and goods can be sent to the United States as normal.
Tracking your order
UPS tracking details are sent automatically, provided a valid email address and mobile number are supplied. If you have not received a tracking email by the afternoon of your dispatch day, please check your spam or junk folder.
Sending a surprise gift
To avoid disappointment, please send surprise gifts to an address where someone will be available to receive the delivery, such as a workplace, a local shop or a trusted neighbour. Alternatively, make sure someone close to the recipient knows a delivery is on its way.
