1. About These Terms

Wrights of Howth is a family business established in 1893, specializing in Irish organic smoked salmon, luxury gift hampers, wines, spirits, and premium Irish products.

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. However, minor variations in color, texture, or appearance may occur due to natural variations in our artisanal products, particularly our hand-filleted smoked salmon.
2.2 Availability
All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you immediately to discuss alternatives or provide a full refund.
2.3 Perishable Goods
Many of our products are perishable, including smoked salmon, cheeses, and other fresh items. These products have limited shelf life and require expedited shipping and handling.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Pricing
All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include Irish VAT where applicable. Prices may change without notice, but any changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
3.2 Payment
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. Payment is required in full at the time of order.
3.3 Currency
For international orders, your bank may apply currency conversion charges. These charges are not included in our pricing and are your responsibility.
4. International Shipping and Customs

Delivery times are estimates only and depend on destination, customs processing, and local delivery services. We cannot guarantee specific delivery dates, especially for international shipments.

For shipments to the United States:
Due to the perishable nature of our products and the need for expedited customs clearance, we collect estimated US customs duties and tariffs at the time of purchase. These fees are calculated using current US tariff rates and are processed through our shipping partner’s duty-paid service.
Important Notes:
- Tariff rates are subject to change based on US government trade policies
- We reserve the right to adjust tariff calculations to reflect current rates as determined by US Customs and Border Protection
- Rates are updated through our automated tax system and may change without prior notice
- Estimated duties collected facilitate faster customs processing but do not guarantee clearance times
- Any significant differences between estimated and actual duties will be reconciled by our logistics partner
Customer Responsibility:
- You are responsible for compliance with all US import regulations
- Additional inspections or documentation requirements may cause delays beyond our control
- Prohibited or restricted items may be detained or destroyed by US Customs
4.4 Other International Destinations
For non-US destinations, customs duties, taxes, and fees are typically the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise specified. Some countries restrict the importation of food products or alcohol.
4.5 Delivery Issues
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, weather, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control. If a shipment is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts or customs issues, additional charges may apply for re-shipping.
5. Returns and Refunds
5.1 Perishable Products
Due to food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns of perishable products (smoked salmon, cheeses, etc.) once shipped unless the products arrive damaged or defective.
5.2 Non-Perishable Products
Non-perishable items may be returned within 14 days of delivery in original, unopened condition. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item was defective.
5.3 Damaged or Defective Products
If products arrive damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
5.4 Gift Hampers
Gift hampers containing perishable items cannot be returned. Non-perishable components may be eligible for return subject to our standard return policy.
6. Food Safety and Allergens
