Why people come to Wrights of Howth:
Wrights has been a part of Howth harbour since 1893, when the family opened a fishmongers on the West Pier. The smokehouse came shortly after, and we’ve been hand-filleting and oak-smoking organic Irish salmon over the same eight-hour cure ever since. Today the business runs the smokehouse, a harbour-front shop in Howth, and a country-wide hamper service that’s put Irish food on tables across Ireland, the UK, the EU and the US for decades.

This is everything we make and curate, all in one place. Our flagship oak-smoked salmon (six Great Taste Awards, three Blas na hÉireann) sits alongside hampers from €40 to €650, gift boxes, Irish sweets, wines and champagnes from Moët, Veuve Clicquot and Bodegas Amezola de la Mora, Irish whiskey and small-batch gin, and a Gift Store of pieces we’re proud to carry: Waterford Crystal, Foxford woollen throws, Newbridge Silverware, Jellycat plush, Royal Tara Belleek and Jimmy Hourihan capes. Over 200 named items, hand-packed in Howth.
How shipping works:
Next-working-day delivery across Ireland. Shipping to most EU destinations in 2 to 3 working days. UK customers get our hampers, smoked salmon and Irish gifts year-round; wines, champagnes and Irish whiskey ship to UK addresses through our Christmas window each year, from 2 December to 22 December. The US gets a curated range of non-perishable, non-alcohol goods through the Gift Store. Every order tracks end-to-end and arrives in our own packaging.
