Around seven in ten of the hampers we pack are corporate: staff Christmas gifts, client thank-yous, and gifts for events and milestones. Each one is packed to order on the West Pier in Howth, where we have been packing hampers for over three decades, around our own Irish organic oak-smoked salmon, Irish whiskey and full-size products from named Irish producers such as Butlers Chocolates, Newbridge Silverware and Foxford.
What makes them work for a list rather than a single gift: one spreadsheet order covers every recipient, with their own address, hamper, gift message and shipping date on each row, and we pack and dispatch each hamper individually. For your own staff, a hamper can be a tax-free gift under the small benefit exemption. For a single hamper the usual terms apply: shipped next working day within Ireland for most of the year, and in two to three days to the UK and Europe. A list is scheduled around the shipping dates you give us, so tell us your dates early.
The band most team-wide orders sit in. Full-size products around a real centrepiece, at a price you can repeat across a whole staff list, and every one of them can be a tax-free staff gift within the exemption.
Where the difference per euro is largest, and where most one-off client and milestone gifts land. Our organic smoked salmon paired with champagne, Jameson or a wooden serving platter, or the Howth Head without the alcohol for a mixed list. The no-alcohol hamper and the platter box can ship to the UK all year.
Where key-client and long-standing-partner gifts land. The Howth Head is our classic salmon hamper for most of the year; the Dalkey is the same hamper with the Christmas lines added; the Tuskar Rock adds the whiskey. The Howth Head and Dalkey both come in no-alcohol versions.
Ireland’s Eye is the hamper for the handful of relationships a business is built on. Check the shipping badges before you put an address abroad on the list: a salmon-and-whiskey hamper cannot go to the USA, and to the UK only inside the December alcohol window.
Under Ireland’s small benefit exemption, an employer can give staff non-cash gifts tax-free within Revenue’s limits, and a hamper is exactly the kind of benefit the rule was written for. For larger orders we confirm per-employee values in writing, so your payroll team has what it needs for the filing. You choose a shipping date for every recipient, and December orders placed in October are held and released on the dates you set. For a list of any size, treat the end of November as the deadline for recipients outside Ireland and early December for Irish addresses, so the hampers arrive while offices are still open; the reasoning is in when to order corporate Christmas hampers.
Sending abroad changes what you can order. Within the EU a hamper travels as it does at home. To the UK, alcohol ships only from 2 to 22 December and meat products cannot go at all; the UK shipping range shows what can make the trip. Nothing alcoholic or perishable can ship to the USA at the moment, so American recipients use the USA shipping range.
